<p>Former Indian skipper and Karnataka State Cricket Association president Anil Kumble, scientist Prof Roddam Narasimha, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research Centre, Bangalore, Director Dr C N Manjunath, Gandhian Ho Srinivasaiah and Secretary General of the 15th Lok Sabha and Lok Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India, T K Vishwanathan, are the five eminent personalities selected for the honorary doctorate to be conferred at the forthcoming 94th convocation of the University of Mysore, scheduled for July 5.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The syndicate of the varsity arrived at the decision in its meeting on Wednesday. <br />Anil Kumble is fondly known as the ‘son-in-law of Mysore’ for, his wife Chethana hails from the City. Incidentally, Dr C N Manjunath is related to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore, Prof K S Rangappa. Manjunath’s daughter is married to Rangappa’s elder son Shobith.<br /><br />Dr Manjunath was also conferred with a similar doctorate when Rangappa was the Vice-chancellor of the KSOU.</p>
