Sand sculpture contest on November 29

Speaking to the media here, Ramesh Kini informed that interested artists should enroll their names before November 25. A team shall comprise a maximum of 5 members. Chemicals polluting the environment are strictly prohibited from being used to carve the sculpture. The sculpture should be of minimum 4 feet height while there is no restriction on the upper limit, he said.

Each team should pay Rs 100 as nomination fee. The first prize comprises a cash prize of Rs 6,000 and a shield while the second prize is Rs 4,000 and Rs 2,000 for third place. Individual artists will be given certificate of participation, he added.
