Even the members of the public were in less numbers, and most of the chairs remained empty.

The event had more officials than the villagers. The Janaspandana was related to Sathihalli, Doddamagarahalli, Aldoor and Kelaguru Gram Panchayats.
The gathered public alleged that the officials are conducting Janaspandana for namesake and they are purposefully keeping people away from the event.
They said their problems would not solve since the MLA himself was absent from the meeting, and urged that the Janaspandana should be cancelled.
This resulted in confusion in the venue for some time.

Tahsildar’s assurance
However, the meeting continued after Tahsildar Veena assured of action against officials who did not give sufficient publicity to the meeting and who did not respond to the problems of the public.

During the meeting, localite Eregowda and BJP leader Narayan alleged that the works done under the NREGS are of substandard quality.
For the maintenance works of the crematorium, Rs 1.40 lakh bill has been issued for the works worth just Rs 10,000. For the Rs 33,000 works of Havvalli-Biranji canal, Rs 2 lakh has been released, they alleged.
The relatives of the Panchayat members have been selected for the benefits of “Namma Bhoomi Namma Thota” scheme and the poor have           been neglected, they complained.

Probe urged
The former president of the Gram Panchayat, secretaries and engineers are involved in the racket.
This should be handed over for a Lokayukta probe, they urged.
Tahsildar Veena said action will be taken against them if a written complaint is filed.
