‘Issues related to encroachment of forest land, Inam land have remained unsolved’

Those who betray others in politics will be taught a tough lesson in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, said MLA B B Ningaiah.

Speaking at JD(S) workers convention at Mudigere on Tuesday, he said that Kumar had deserted his post to support Yeddyurappa when he was in distress. However, Kumar was left in middle without supporting him when the latter joined the BJP.

“There was no differences in the administration of the BJP and the Congress. Both have failed to solve the local problems. The issues related to encroachment of forest land and Inam land has remained unsolved.

The Congress has submitted an affidavit on carcinogenic content in arecanut before the Supreme Court, thereby has betrayed the arecanut growers,” he said.

Dhananjay Kumar said that “I have been politics for the last 40 years. Iam not craving for power. The election is between truth and lies. The election will teach a lesson to those who had betrayed us.

The Congress government has failed to implement the recommendations of Gorak Singh Committee report on arecanut. The constituency had given political re birth Indira Gandhi.

However, she did not turn back to the constituency after winning the election. The burning issues have remained without solution for ages,” Kumar added. Former MLA Dharme Gowda among others were present .
