Hansika Motwani has been shuttling in and out of Bangalore shooting for her latest Tamil movie Vaalu.

.
She recollects that shooting in the City hasn’t been an easy affair with fans hounding her wherever she goes. “But I was moved to see people who stood very patiently for hours together in the blazing sun just to get a glimpse of the shoot and take pictures with me. I am a people’s person and like being around them,” says Hansika.

It’s no wonder that Hansika says she’s married to the camera for she has no dates to give away till the end of next year. “There are a lot of subjects from all languages that have been coming my way but I prefer to work in those that have a solid story line. I don’t believe in tomorrow. I live in the present and take things as they come,” Hansika reasons.

She is also working in Aranmanai, in which she plays the role of a child who is gifted with divine powers. “It’s a different character and requires the interplay of a lot of emotions. I really enjoyed discovering that side of me,” she adds. In her next project, ‘Power’ with Ravi Teja, she plays the character of a fraud swamini and confesses that she got to do some really interesting things in the movie.

“I am a spontaneous actor. There’s no homework that goes into the characters I play. Once the script is in my hands, I read it and give the character my own twist. I am told that this is what most directors like about me,” she reasons.

Hansika has another side to her. “I am a very religious person. I don’t brag about what I do or how I help people. I have 25 orphans who I look after. When I get some time off work, I spend time with these children whose love and affection is unconditional. That’s hard to get these days. I also hope to build an old age home very soon,” she observes.

Hansika has countless project lined up in Tamil and Telugu film industries, so why not head to Bollywood? “I started my career in Tamil and Telugu film industries and I am content with it. When I have the best here, why should I hanker after Bollywood? she asks.
