Bapunagar residents begin hunger strike

They seek solution for drinking water problems

Horata Samiti President Ramesh, Working President Salahuddin, Secretary Murthy, Shivanna and others addressing the reporters said that four acre land in Hesgal village at survey no 156 should be distributed to the siteless.

Drinking water problem must be solved and permanent drinking water facility must be provided and greater importance must be given for development of Bapunagar,  they demanded.

MLA Kumaraswamy visited those who have started the hunger strike and assured to solve the problems. However, the residents of Bapunagar who have started the hunger strike said that they will not withdraw the strike till their demands are fulfilled.

Shivanna, Dharanappa, Avinash, Ramesh have started indefinite hunger strike and organisations like State Raitha Sangha, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike  and various stree shakti groups have expressed their support to them.
