Pawan slams 144 as President's XI take command against Bengal

A century from Shreyas Gopal (121, 201b, 13x4, 1x6) and Chiranjeevi’s 91 (166b, 10x4) helped KSCA XI pile up 415 against Haryana CA on the second day of their match in the KSCA all-India Invitational Dr K Thimmappaiah memorial tournament here at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Saturday.

Resuming on a tricky score of 188/5, Shreyas and Chiranjeevi took KSCA XI to a position of strength. Harshal Patel (3/100) and Kuldeep Hooda (4/58) took seven wickets between them as Haryana struggled to control the flow of runs. 

The visitors themselves did little harm with the bat as they were on 123/1 in 32 overs at stumps, with Abhimanyu Khod (63 n.o.) and Nitin Saini (50 n.o.) at the wicket. 

Elsewhere, a double hundred from Suryakumar Yadav (206, 230b, 27x4, 3x6) put Mumbai CA in a commanding position against National Cricket Academy at Gangotri Glades in Mysore.

Mumbai, who were on 213/4, scored at more than run-a-ball as they made 509 in just 98.4 overs. The other contributors were Abhishek Nayar (73) and Saarfaraz Khan (68).
