An 11-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by his neighbour in east Delhi’s Jagatpuri on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old accused has been absconding. Shamshad allegedly lured the boy to his home on the pretext of playing video games and initially, tried to touch him indecently.
When the boy resisted the advances, Shamshad allegedly pinned him down and sodomised him.

The boy’s parents were away at work when the incident took place. When they returned, they found their son unusually silent.

When they persisted that he tell what was troubling him, the boy broke down and narrated the ordeal upon which his parents approached Jagatpuri police station and filed a complaint.

Shocked

But the boy was so traumatised that even counselling helped very little, police said.
He only spoke to his parents upon persuasion and police took down his statement and launched a search for Shamshad.

Meanwhile, learnt that police have been approached, the culprit fled. The boy’s medical examination confirmed that he had been sexually abused.

Threatened

Police said he had been threatened by Shamshad not to mention the incident to anyone or else he and his parents would be killed.

That had scared him, police suspected.

Molested earlier

The victim further revealed that he would often be called to Shamshad’s home on the pretext of playing video games and he would be molested.

But his decision to oppose the act on Wednesday had left the culprit infuriated and he sodomised him in anger, said police.
