Flashes of green, red, blue and white spread themselves across the sky as the strobe lights blinked rapidly. The crowd, mostly teenagers, raised their hands in anticipation of every song and lyric.

Popular electronic duo DVBBS recently mesmerised the City, when they played at Hotel Royal Orchid, and left the hoard of excited fans begging for more.

The duo, who are one of the most sought-after music producers of the year, didn’t fail to disappoint the audience, who travelled all the way to the Old Airport Road venue.

The well-lit stage was the centre of attention even before the artistes arrived
at the venue. There were three DJs who heated up the stage for the Canadian duo - DJ Tejj, DJ Rave Nine and DJ Lab Monkeys.

Bright lights lit up the entire stage and remixes of songs like ‘Titanium’ by David Guetta and Sia, ‘Don’t Blame the Party’ by Heather Bright, ‘Safe and Sound’ by Capital Cities, ‘Somebody I Used To Know’ by Gotye and ‘If I Lose Myself’ by One Republic made the crowd go wild.

When the famed duo, Chris Chronicles and Alex Andre, finally came on stage, they dished out tracks like ‘Smack Down’, ‘Tsunami’, ‘Animal’, ‘Tremor’, “Mammoth’, ‘Boogie’, ‘Bounce’, ‘Tilt’, ‘Deception’, ‘We Were Young’ and ‘Raveology’.

It was a night that people would remember for a while. Although the event started a bit late, people did not mind the wait.

Aanya, a student at Mallya Aditi International School, said, “I love DVBBS! I have been waiting for them to come to Bangalore.” Her friend, Riya, was of the same opinion. She added that she loves EDM (electronic dance music) because it is catchy and no two artistes or tunes are ever the same.

The two students, along with the rest, couldn’t help but dance to the music that was being played.
