<p>As a preventive measure, the central division of the City police on Monday registered a case against Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Mutalik and others under Section 107 of the Criminal Procedure Code over a public statement by the fringe outfit that it would disrupt the upcoming ‘Kiss of Love’ event.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to Section 107, when an executive magistrate receives information that any person is likely to commit a breach of peace or disturb public tranquillity, the magistrate can ask the person concerned to execute a bond for maintaining peace for a certain period. The SJ Park police have taken up the case, DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil said.<br /><br />He added that the police decided to act as Mutalik and others had been threatening in public that they disrupt the proposed ‘Kiss of love’ event scheduled for November 30.<br />The police clarified that they would not let anybody take law into their hands. The police have also served a notice on Mutalik, directing him to submit an affidavit about conducting himself in a dignified way, said the police.<br /><br />Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner M N Reddi said that the police had not taken any decision regarding the event. The organisers have filed an application seeking permission, while a few groups have submitted their objections to the event.<br /><br />The police have directed both the groups to give more details, Reddi added.<br /></p>
