Dismissing the demand from BJP to drop ministers facing various charges, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Thursday, said none of his cabinet colleagues are tainted and all were having clean image.

The chief minister, who was here to meet Karnataka MPs to discuss State projects pending at the Centre, told reporters that not a single FIR was registered against any ministers in his cabinet. “When there is no FIR or cases against anybody, question of dropping ministers doesn’t arise”, he added.

He was reacting to questions about BJP threatening to lay siege to Survarna Soudha at Belagavi during the coming winter session of State Legislature demanding the dropping of ministers facing various corruption charges.

BJP was demanding sacking of five ministers Home Minister K J George, Food Minister Dinesh Gundurao, Minorities Welfare Minister Qamarul Islam, Cooperative Minister H S Mahadev Prasad and Power Minister D K Shivakumar, alleging they were facing various charges. BJP also announced to release chargesheet against these ministers before start of session at Belagavi. Attacking the BJP, Siddaramaiah said during previous BJP regime despite filing of FIR by police, several ministers continued in the government.
