Milk route to get life once again

Speaking at a review meeting, he said “the milk route must be started at any cost in the next month. If there is any loss, it will be borne by the Zilla Panchayat.”

Sringeri MLA D N Jeevaraj and Chikmagalur MLA C T Ravi took Hassan Milk Federation officials to task for delaying the project. They said “milk route should be started to help the poor. Politics should not come in the way of implementing the project.”

Ravi aid “Bikanahalli and Moogthihalli units have been suspended without any reason.”
Minister directed the Zilla Panchayat EO to send the declaration copy of the Zilla Meeting to held on January 28 to the officials. MLA K M Krishnamurthy said that the government should release funds for the purchase of medicines.

Ration card

“Food and Civil Supplies have failed in distributing ration cards to the beneficiaries. During the re-survey on BPL card, the eligible have been denied of the BPL cards. Tractor owner has received BPL card while the driver has received APL card, said Ravi.

Several projects undertaken by the Zilla Panchayat Engineering and PWD are moving in a snail’s pace. The work on roads, bridges, drinking water projects which have been started four years ago have not been completed, said Jeevraj.

Minister directed the officials concerned to complete all the pending works by March 31.
Standing Committee President Radha Sundaresh said “crops have been damaged owing to the unseasonal rains. Compensation should be paid to the farmers.”

MLA Krishnamurthy urged the Minister to set up an office of minor irrigation in Chikmagalur district. Land should be provided for the construction of ITI and PU College builidngs in Sakharayapattana, said Ravi.

Deputy Commissioner R Narayanaswamy, ZP CEO Ramanna, MP D V Sadananda Gowda were present.
