Actress Navya Nair ties knot

"I am happy. The love and blessings of the people helped me become a star," she told reporters after the marriage, attended by a large number of people from different walks of life.

Navya shot to fame with her role as a maidservant in a rich Nair family in her first film 'Nandanam'. She has also acted in various Tamil and Kannada films.

Local Administration Minister Paloli Muhammedkutty, CPI-M State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan and film personalities, including actor Suresh Gopi, veteran actress Kaviyur Ponnamma, KPAC Lalitha and Tamil actor Cheran were among those who attended the function.
