Three persons committed suicide in separate incidents in HAL, Malleswaram and Vijayanagar police limits.

According to police, a 36-year-old security guard was found hanging from a tree in a teak wood plantation in the HAL police limits.

The deceased is Ravindra, a resident of Sudhama Nagar, who was working as a security guard in a private firm.

On Saturday, he informed his family members that he was going to work and would return late in the night. Since he did not come, they called his mobile phone, but there was no answer, police said.

On Sunday morning, a few workers noticed Ravindra’s body hanging from the tree and informed the police. It is suspected that he was debt-ridden. Unable to repay the money, he may have committed suicide, police said.

A 50-year-old auto consultant was found hanging at his office in Vyalikaval in Malleswaram police limits on Sunday morning.

Ganesh, a resident of Vyalikaval, went to the office in the morning, locked himself up in a room and hanged himself to death. The incident came to light when a few people went inside the office and found him hanging. They informed the police and the family members. The body was shifted for post-mortem. The reason for the extreme step is not known.

A 21-year-old housewife hanged herself to death at her residence in RPC Layout, Vijayanagar, on Sunday morning.

The deceased, Mohanalakshmi, was married to Nataraj, an autorickshaw driver, and they have an eight-month-old child.

The police said that she was suffering from Chikungunya and her health was unstable. She was not able to take care of her child. This may have led her to commit suicide, it is said. Krishna had been to work at the time of the incident.

The incident came to light when a neighbour came to visit her.  The exact cause for the death is yet to be ascertained, police said.
