Impart value-education to youth: Seer

He was speaking during the annual day celebrations of Jnana Bharati group of educational institutes which are run by the Vokkaliga Sangha, in Kunigal.

Legislative Council member Y A Narayanaswamy, speaking after inaugurating the function, onus of giving quality education is on parents, teachers and leaders of society.  He rued that the young Indians are infatuated with the foreign culture while the Indian culture and tradition has given the world message of peace. Hence, he stressed, there is an urgent need to educate the youth on the Indian cultural heritage and nobility with its messages of peace and humanity.  Legislator B B Ramaswamygowda, who presided over the programme, promised to work on improving the education sector of the taluk and he would positively respond to the suggestions of the public and the experts on educational issues.

The students who had scored highest marks in the exams were given prizes for the academic year 2008-09.

BEO T R Lata, Taluk Vokkaliga Sangha Secretary Govindaiah, Muddappa and Treasurer Gangashanaiah were present.
