The camp will also be without key players like Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, KB Pawan, Ganesh Satish, CM Gautam, R Vinay Kumar, Abhimanyu Mithun and Sreenath Arvind who are either in the South Zone team or the Board President’s XI which is playing a two-day practice tie against South Africa in Nagpur.
The zonal one-day tournament, which was shifted from Hyderabad to Chennai because of the Telangana agitation, will begin from February 10.
Last year Karnataka finished at a poor third spot behind TN and Hyderabad.
Putting range
Meanwhile, the NCA authorities have come up with a putting range -- Chip and Putt Corner -- at their premises. The range, which has four holes to go with a sand pit, is designed to allow the coaches to unwind themselves after day’s hectic activities.
