Council polls: BJP workers demand ticket for Madhusudhan

Supporters of MLC Go Madhusudhan have urged BJP leaders to issue ticket to their leader to contest from the South Graduates constituency election once again.

Addressing reporters here on Tuesday, former corporater M Sriramu said three-time MLC Madhusudhan has been striving for public welfare and for the development of his constituency.

Madhusudhan is well-informed and concerned about his constituency. He has unearthed various issues like land encroachment in Mysuru and has good experience as a public representative, they said.

“Mysuru district administration could acquire lands, which had been encroached upon by private persons at the foot of Chamundi Hill only because of Madhusudhan,” Sriramu claimed.

Besides, Sriramu said the MLC is working towards the welfare of the general public. He has been striving for Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) getting recognition for various courses from the Universities Grants Commission (UGC).

The UGC has derecognised various courses for allegedly flouting norms, recently. However, party leaders have planned to issue ticket to M V Ravishankar to contest in the election in the month of June, he said.

The members also requested BJP leaders to nominate B S Yeddyurappa as State president after Pralhad Joshi completes his tenure. Yeddyurappa is inevitable for the BJP for the party to bounce back in the State, they said adding that they will approach leaders in this regard.

Former corporater K Mahadev, BJP workers M P Mandanna and K Narendra Babu were present.
