Clear garbage heap

A garbage pile near Race Course Road, opposite Gate No 4, Crescent Road, Ward 93, Vasanthnagar, has not been cleared for the last three to four days.

This is the situation in the central business district with schools and five star hotels in the vicinity. In spite of a complaint to the BBMP (complaint No 10526840), no action has been taken. The BBMP health inspector is not bothered and we residents will stop paying taxes unless we get the services due to us.

Civic problems galore

There are 14,000 residents living within the 2 sq km area of Green Glen Layout, Bellandur. The infrastructure here has been degrading over the last 8 years.

Water and sewage from the SWD at a junction here has been overflowing onto the road for the last few months. Residents are walking through this sewage.

Besides, some establishments are letting their sewage directly into the SWD. We have complained to the BBMP, Bellandur, many times, but to no effect. It has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and a health hazard.

There are many potholes in our locality. Occasionally, the BBMP fills some of them with jelly while others are simply abandoned after partial work. Moreover, the potholes are not asphalted and the gravel spills onto the road in the following days.

Further, there is only one narrow access road and it is always choked up, especially during peak hours. We have been continuously asking for alternate roads in and out of the locality. Majority of the buildings in our locality have eleven storeys or more.

This implies a higher population and vehicle density within the 2 sq km area. Hence, the BBMP cannot make narrow roads here. Lastly, there are no municipal workers assigned to our area to sweep the roads, which are littered with filth. The day is not far when the residents here will stop paying property taxes out of sheer frustration.

Stray dog menace

In between the 1st ‘A’ Main of CIL Colony and 1st Cross of Judicial Layout in Sanjaynagar (Radha Krishna Ward), there are seven puppies and six stray dogs causing a terrible nuisance to the residents here.

The dogs chase passersby, pick up footware, and defecate in front of houses and often inside compound walls of houses. They bark all night and have also killed two of my kittens last week. All my efforts to get the BBMP/animal groups to remedy the situation have gone in vain. Will the BBMP relieve our difficulties and act now, before someone gets bitten by the dogs?

More buses needed

The BMTC bus services from Nagarabhavi BDA Complex to Majestic is very poor. There is a heavy concentration of buses to Yeshwantpur and Hebbal which pass through the Outer Ring Road but hardly any bus to Majestic.

Many buses to Yeshwantpur go empty because there are too many of them. Commuters have to go to Kottigepalya to get a bus to Majestic. Senior citizens and women are hard hit as Kottigepalya is very crowded. Will the BMTC authorities take a look please?

Supply borewell water

I request the officials concerned to kindly provide borewell water to the residents at 6th Main, Magadi Road, Agrahara Dasarahalli (Ward No 105) and to my residence which was blocked by the BWSSB on May 25, 2013. I request the BWSSB Engineers to at least act now and take action to remove the block for the borewell water to my residence and to provide the same to the citizens of the entire street.
