Godrej to develop five projects

The projects comprise a two million sq ft project near Hebbal, Woodman Estate, a gated community project on Tumkur Road, a 50 acre project in North Bangalore and a less than one million sq ft project through a JV with Golden Palm Resorts owner Sanjay Khan.
Besides, he said that the fifth project would come up on Godrej land. We are shifting our Godrej Agrovet (poultry) 90 kms away from the City as the current place is in the City-limits and poses bio-security concerns and will develop 10 million sq ft of in that area, he said.

Low-priced refrigerators
Further, he said that another group firm Godrej Appliances Limited, is coming out with a small, low-priced refrigerator priced at Rs 3,000. Adi said “the refrigerator, as small as an ice-box, will be based on ‘Pelti-effect’, that is, it will be able to cool but not make ice as the demand among the poor is more for cool water and keeping their vegetables fresh.” We are experimenting with it in parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, he added.
