Xerox India, maker of printing equipment for office and graphic communication applications, is now on an enterprise push to expand its business reach by launching new sets of products and platforms.

“We have come up with a range of products supported by latest tech innovations. This will make the printing experience a hassle-free affair and supported with solid security,” said Xerox India Executive Director (Technology & Channels and International Distributor Operations) Balaji Rajagopalan in an interaction with Deccan Herald. Rajagopalan said that last fiscal was an excellent year for Xerox India. “We have done well in the production business in Q1 and Q2. Also, we became a leader in this segment after a long time in Q4 of 2015 with a market share of 34%, as per IDC,” he said.

Xerox launched 14 products in the multifunction printers (MFPs) category recently for enterprises. “Our 14 Xerox ConnectKey-enabled i-Series printers will help the enterprise have a different experience by bringing in stability via cloud, mobility and security. We have connected hardware using software to give phenomenal power to the engine,” he adds.

Xerox ConnectKey technology improves convenience by freeing people up to work the way they want to — from mobile devices, using cloud storage solutions like DropBox or Google Drive.

ConnectKey comes with its unique set of offerings in the market, namely, Award Winning Mobile Print, McAfee Protection, Customisable App via App Studio, Remote Access Control Panel, Bi-Directional Print Driver, Setting defaults with Print Driver and User Permissions.
“Now there is no need for IT head in installing machine at office. Using Xerox App Studio 3.0, our partners can help users come up with tailor-made products, as it gives templates to do certain things. It also help in the QR Code printing which avoids IP address,” he said.

Rajagopalan said that Xerox’s endeavour is not only to be a part of printing business, but also to become a value earner for enterprises.

Xerox has also laid a lot of stress on security feature in these new devices. Rajagopalan said, “We’ve partnered with McAfee to provide new levels of security out of the box for every ConnectKey-enabled MFPs. For larger enterprises, we’ve also made ConnectKey compatible with Cisco TrustSec.”

ConnectKey puts an emphasis on controlling costs by enforcing less expensive printing methods, reducing energy consumption and by providing accounting reports for visibility or even recouping costs.

“Xerox wants to change how things are happening in enterprise. This will help the companies bring efficiency and effectiveness which will bring in a cost advantage,” he said.

He said the company’s theme for 2016 is growing consideration and coverage. “We want every customer to look at Xerox as a brand to be considered. We are also working on how to make things to happen and the idea is to give our partners much more,” he said.
