Vinisha and Anvishi are two new students who are going to join our LEAF (Learn English As Fun) team today. These very pleasant looking identical twins have created such excitement in the class that I could hardly be heard.  Both these girls were dressed identical too making it hard to tell them apart. Their mom, who had come to enroll them in this class, greeted me as I entered. Looking at the names that she had filled out in the enrollment form, I congratulated her for aptly using 'anagrams'. She looked puzzled at my remark and asked me what that meant.

"Well, join us for today's class, you would enjoy", was my reply. We started with our usual meditation; it helped in calming down all that  commotion and set perfect atmosphere for students to be  SILENT and  get ready to LISTEN. "Anagram is a word or a phrase formed by rearranging the letters of another word or a phrase (ana = same/again; gram = letter). For example, SILENT is an anagram of LISTEN. Being SILENT helps you to LISTEN well. In addition, you could ENLIST everything that was heard only when you  LISTEN", I started and wrote all these three words on the board. "ENLIST is also an anagram of SILENT", Vinisha's excitement was very evident in her voice.
"Yes, dear! Vinisha and Anvishi are anagrams too", I replied. Their mom was more excited than her two children. Apparently, Anveshi was wrongly spelt in her records as Anvishi and they were planning to get it corrected officially. With this new discovery of the two names being anagrams, she said they would rather not go ahead with the process of correction at all!

Some anagrams show interesting hidden meaning as in SILENT, LISTEN  and ENLIST. Here are some more to enjoy. EARTH  is an anagram of HEART.
Love our home EARTH with your HEART for a happy living.  A good TEACHER is never a CHEATER; she/he tries to RETEACH in order to make everyone understand what is being taught.

So far we have looked at single-word anagrams. Let's look at some phrases containing more than one word. No class is complete without a teacher; as you can see SCHOOL MASTER and THE CLASSROOM are anagrams.

Being on several COMMITTEES  definitely COSTS ME TIME is what I had learned during my student days at the university in Texas. In spite of spending too much time in committee meetings, I managed to keep my room very clean. Yes, compared to my room in the DORMITORY, any room was a DIRTY ROOM.

SOLAR ENERGY is the best renewable energy and definitely plays a critical role in giving us ROYAL GREENS to enjoy.  Some of the human activities could cause EARTHQUAKES; THAT QUEER SHAKE Haiti experienced recently was of a catastrophic magnitude.
While anagrammatising is a witty ITEM to enjoy, I would suggest not to spend too much TIME on it.  Instead, I suggest that you should participate in L.E.A.F. program (LEARN ENGLISH AS FUN) which definitely ANNULS ENGLISH FEAR if you had any and makes you a passionate reader. Does 'TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE' ring a bell? It's from Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets; it's an anagram of  'I AM LORD VOLDEMORT'.
Tell me how many anagram pairs/sets we have talked about in this article.  Whether you said  ELEVEN PLUS TWO or TWELVE PLUS ONE you are right!
