Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar said he would talk to Goa chief minister designate Manohar Parrikar on resolving the Mahadayi water sharing dispute through negotiations.
He told reporters on Monday that the state government could achieve results on the issue if it constantly engages with the new government in Goa.
“We are confident that a favourable atmosphere for the Kalasa-Banduri project would be created under the Parrikar government. Negotiations, rather than a legal battle, would be the best solution to this dispute, Shettar added.
