Vistara announces 'monsoon sale'; fares start from Rs 849

Vistara, the Tata Sons-Singapore Airlines joint venture airline, on Tuesday announced a 'Great Monsoon Sale' with fares starting in economy class at Rs 849.

Fliers can book tickets till June 17 for travel between June 28 and September 20. A Minimum 15 days advance purchase is required to avail the discount.

According to a statement, the sale offers all-inclusive fares starting Rs 849 in economy class and Rs 2,099 in premium economy. "With Vistara, the fares are always what-you-see is what-you-get, with no hidden fees and fuel surcharges," it said.

The discounted tickets are available for destinations such as Goa, Port Blair, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, Kochi, Guwahati, Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, as well as metro cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

A Delhi – Bengaluru economy ticket could be bought at as low as Rs 2,749 while a premium economy ticket could be bought at Rs 5,199.

"Seats under this offer are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the best fares are available for customers willing to make their travel plans at least 15 days in advance," the statement said.

Travellers choosing to fly to and from Mumbai and Srinagar (to/from Delhi) on select flights will also get to enjoy exciting new features onboard Vistara’s new Airbus A320neo, the statement said.

"Some of the in-flight enhancements aboard the new aircraft include mood lighting, greater comfort of softer leather seat upholstery, improved seat cushions, as well as new boarding and landing music in genres including Blues, Jazz and Soft Rock Instrumentals - all designed to give a whole new dimension to the ‘new feeling’ of flying," it said.
