<p>Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India has opened bookings for its forthcoming luxury SUV Jeep Compass.<br />The vehicle, which is being locally manufactured at the company’s JV facility in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra, could be pre-booked at Rs 50,000, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India stated.<br /><br />“To harness the great demand for the Jeep Compass, we have executed a customer outreach across 21 cities at 26 shopping malls across India,” Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India President and Managing Director Kevin Flynn stated.<br /><br />Customers will experience, first-hand, the level of sophistication in the vehicle and those interested can book the SUV online or at any of the company’s and Jeep Dealer network across India, he added.<br /><br />The Jeep Compass’ is being offered with two powertrain options – the 160+ HP, 250 Nm Multi-air petrol and the 170+ HP, 350 Nm, Diesel. The SUV will also come with options of the 6-speed manual transmission (Petrol and Diesel) and the 7-speed Dual Dry Clutch Technology Automatic or DDCT (Petrol) both these engines will be scalable to BS VI regulatory requirements in India.</p>
