Lochan, Kishan shine on day one

Arjun's ton helps Combined City put up competitive total

Lochan Appanna and Kishan S Bedare’s performances were the highlights of the match between Mofussil XI and President’s XI in the under-23 SA Srinivasan memorial tournament at Alur (2) ground here.

Spurred by Kishan’s 105, Mofussil posted 287 all out in 86.2 overs, MS Bhandage contributing a handy 41.

Lochan was the star with the ball for President’s XI finishing with figures of five for 48.

In response, President’s ended the day at 23 for three.

Arjun shines

A combined batting effort spearheaded by a ton from Arjun SP helped Combined City XI put a competitive total on the board in their fixture against Bangalore City. Batting first, Combined raised 410 for four in their stipulated 90 overs with Arjun stroking 106 and Ankith Udupa (87), Shrijith KL (86) and Shrikara (54 not out) chipping in with half-centuries.  In response, Bangalore City were 14 without loss from eight overs.
