Pressing issues

Garden City University began its post- graduate course this week with an orientation programme. The programme commenced with a talk by Praveen Sood, Additional Director General of Police (Communications, Logistics and Modernisation).

In his address, Praveen Sood, highlighted the alarming problems related to cyber crime on social media. He also gave valuable inputs to the students on safety measures to be taken when using debit and credit cards and other possible financial frauds. Praveen also pointed out that students are highly vulnerable in almost every sphere and drug abuse was a major concern.

He also spoke about some of the measures women could take to protect themselves if they were ever caught in a difficult situation. Garden City University is home to a lot of international students and Praveen urged the students not indulge in any activity that would lead to violation of visa rules.
