Another Indian Siddharth Suchde has been given wild card and will face fourth seeded Mohammad Azlan Sikandar of Malaysia in the first round of the men's five-star category tournament carrying a prize purse of USD 50,000.In the USD 8,000 women's challenger, Sharon Wee of Malaysia has been given the top billing while Indians Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal have been seeded fourth and fifth respectively. In their respective first round matches, Joshna will take on Maggy Marshall, while Dipika will face Zephanie Curgenven of England in the bottom half of the draw of 16.
