<p class="title">Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met DMK president M Karunanidhi at his residence and enquired about his health.</p>.<p class="title">Interestingly, there was no mention in prime minister's official schedule that Modi would meet the DMK strongman.</p>.<p class="bodytext">After participating in the 75th anniversary of Tamil newspaper <span class="italic"><em>Daily Thanthi</em></span>, Modi arrived at Karunanidhi's Gopalapuram residence by around noon.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Modi was accompanied by DMK working president and Karunanidhi's younger son M K Stalin, Karunanidhi's daughter and MP Kanimozhi and other party leaders.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The prime minister sat next to 94-year-old DMK leader and enquired about his health holding his hands.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Terming the meeting as a courtesy call, Kanimozhi told a private TV channel that Modi invited Karunanidhi to New Delhi to take rest.</p>
