<p>At least twelve people died in Rajasthan's Dholpur and Bharatpur districts, after heavy rain and thunderstorms lashed large parts of the state on Wednesday.</p>.<p>While seven died in Dholpur's Badead area, five died in Bharatpur after unprecedented rainfall created havoc on Wednesday.</p>.<p>In Dholpur, most of the deaths reported were due to roofs and walls of houses collapsing in at least six villages. A senior officer of Dholpur district administration confirmed, "At most of the places victims were sleeping. The heavy rainfall also affected railway services where trees fell down on the tracks".</p>.<p>Train movement was also affected on the Agra-Dholpur railway line due to the heavy rain. Parts of Dholpur suffered water logging as well, thus, disrupting normal life.</p>.<p>On Wednesday rain and storms hit the northern belt of the country as pre-monsoon conditions set in. As per the forecast, harsh weather conditions will continue till Friday.</p>
