A clueless youth Tyler’s (Pattinson) life takes a different path when he hits a NYPD detective (Chris Cooper) after a street fight. In prison, Tyler hatches a plan to take revenge on the detective by seducing his daughter Ally (Emilie de Ravin). Falling in love with Ally seems much simpler than taking revenge. But Tyler is tormented by the fact that he is keeping a secret from Ally.

“Remember Me” is a messy gel of violence and romance. Despite the simple plot, the film turns out to be a self indulgent take on how grief can lead to all kinds of violence. There is neither vision nor artistic touch except for the shocking climax.

Much was expected from Pattinson after the ‘Twilight’ series. But Pattinson’s effort with cigarettes and serious looks aren’t that great. One can only say, the film is not worth remembering.
