Karnataka suffer huge loss

Clinical Hyderabad post 131-run victory

In a match reduced to 39-overs-a-side due to damp conditions caused by overnight rains, Hyderabad put on 175 for eight on the board, Soujanya Nath top-scoring with an unbeaten 58. M Shalini was the other major contributer with 45 runs against her name. S Saba Saeed (3/19) was the pick of the bowlers for the home side.

Chasing the stiff target, Karnataka batswomen never found the going easy eventually crumbling to an embarrassing 44 in 33.2 overs. Gouher Sultana scalped three for one for the visitors. With this win, Hyderabad pocketed five points inclduing a bonus while Karnataka were docked a point.
