He was blessing the artistes of Yakshanandana, P V Aithal’s English Yakshagana troupe, which had organised Yakshagana field drama with English dialogue on the 13th death anniversary of veteran English Yakshagana artist P V Aithal in Town Hall on Wednesday.
He said that Yakshagana could be compared to a mirror, as it vividly reflects the past referring the historical characters. He praised Yakshagana artiste Late P V Aithal for his love towards Yakshagana that persuaded him to adopt English dialogue to explain the complicated Yakshagana phrases to non-Kannadiga audience. Karnataka Yakshagana Bayalaata Academy President Kumble Sundar Rao who was the chief guest Income Tax Commissioner Vivek Varun Prasad and Senior advocate Seetharama Shetty among others were present.
