Accident claims 2 lives

As per the police, Sardar and Syed Ali were on their way to Gurappanapalya from MICO Bande riding a scooter. “A lorry coming from the opposite direction rammed into their scooter near Venkateshwara Hospital killing the duo on the spot. The driver managed to escape and we have seized the lorry,” the police said.

Bus mows down woman

A 50-year-old woman died after being knocked down by a BMTC bus on Wednesday morning in Byatarayanapura. The victim, Lakshmamma, was a resident of Veerabhadranagar.

The accident occurred when the victim was crossing the road at KIMCO junction, when the BMTC bus ran over her. She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead. The driver of the bus has been arrested,” the police said.

Youth ends life

A youth who lost his eye sight in an accident hanged himself at his Mahadevpura II Stage residence on Tuesday.

The victim, Veeresh (29) had lost hopes after doctors told him that he will not regain his eye sight. Unable to bear the shock he is said to have taken the extreme step, the police said.

In another case, a 36-year-old man from Meenakshi Koil Street in Shivajinagar was found hanging. Police are investigating the case.

Massage parlour raided

The CCB police raided a massage parlour on JNC Road, Koramangala 5th Block and arrested five persons including some girls who were allegedly involved in flesh trade.
The cops arrested the gang, recovered cell phone cliental contact numbers and cash.
