"The Chief Minister has failed to perform his duties with regard to the mining and forest departments. He has betrayed the people's trust by backing his Cabinet colleagues involved in illegal mining," Ganesh alleged.
Ganesh said Minister for Tourism G Janardhana Reddy-owned Obulapuram Mining Company had "encroached upon" the reserve forests in Bellary district along the State's border and was indulging in "illegal mining".
"They (Reddy brothers) have also altered the border between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister's role in shielding the Reddy brothers should be probed," the complaint demanded.
