Seema Masuthi not to be a rebel

BJP leaders were successful in pacifying former MLA Seema Masuthi who had raised the flag of rebellion after BJP ticket for Dharwad constituency was announced for Amrut Desai.

Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar, MP Pralhad Joshi, MLC Pradeep Shettar, BJP candidate Amrut Desai, and others held a meeting with Seema Masuthi, at Shettar's residence in Hubballi on Friday, and convinced her to accept the party's decision, and to work for the party's victory in the elections.

"I had earlier stated that I would contest elections though I missed the BJP ticket. Now, I have realised that we have to work together within the party framework and to accept the party's decision. As I have worked for the growth of this party, I will campaign for the party's official candidate, and will tell my supporters to do the same," an emotional Seema Masuti said.

MP Pralhad Joshi stated that Seema Masuti and Amrut Desai would campaign together.

"We have communicated the demand for BJP ticket for M R Patil in Kundgol and C M Nimbannavar in Kalghatagi to the party high-command, and senior leaders would take the call," Jagadish Shettar noted.
