Y S V Datta files papers in Kadur

JD(S) Candidate from Kadur Y S V Datta filed his nomination papers on Tuesday.

MLA and JD(S) candidate Y S V Datta submitted his second set of nomination on Tuesday.

He had symbolically submitted his nomination on April 19. Earlier, in the submission of the nomination, he offered prayers at Arekallamma Temple in Yagati, Veeranarayanaswamy temple and Venkateshwara Temple in Kadur.

JD(S) workers gathered at APMC premises in large numbers. People also arrived in their vehicles from faraway villages. This led to a traffic logjam on the National highway for two hours.

Datta was led through a procession in a bullock cart from APMC premises.

Addressing his supporters at Kadamba circle, he said that neither muscle power or money power will work in the elections. The untainted love and affection of people for him will bring him the victory.

When the procession reached near government hospital, a fan of Datta offered an ablution to Datta with 20 litres of milk.

Later, Y S V Datta submitted his nomination to the returning officer.

Leaders B T Gangadhara Naika, M K Maheshwarappa, Krishnappa and Nirmala Datta were present.
