Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 | How parties performed in reserved seats

There 28 reserved seats in Jharkhand for ST candidates and 9 seats reserved for SC candidates.

Jharkhand is all set for the second phase of voting for the Assembly elections on November 20. The first phase took place on November 13 and counting of votes will be done on November 23.

As the state gears up for polling to elect all 81 members of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, let us take a look at how the parties performed in reserved SC and ST seats in 2019 polls.

There are 28 reserved seats in Jharkhand for ST candidates and 9 seats reserved for SC candidates.

Below are representative diagrams showing number of seats won by each party in the SC and ST reserved seats. In the SC seats, JMM won 2, BJP 6 and RJD won 1 seat. In ST reserved seats, JMM won 19 of them, INC won 6, BJP 2 and one seat was bagged by JVM(P).

Meanwhile, the ruling JMM-led I.N.D.I.A. bloc and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have made all possible efforts to garner people's support through social media posts, a day before the voting is due.

The candidates and workers of several parties have been conducting door-to-door campaigns since last night to persuade voters.
