'D54' Mahurat: Dhanush kicks off his next with Vignesh Raja

The movie is being directed by Vignesh Raja, best known for his critically-acclaimed crime thriller Por Thozhil. It is backed by Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International.

Mumbai: Dhanush, who recently celebrated the success of his last outing, Kuberaa, is back at work. The actor, shuttling between his ongoing projects -- Idly Kadai and Tere Ishq Mein -- has resumed work on his next project, titled D54. The much-anticipated project is backed by Dr Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner Vels Film International Ltd. and is directed by Por Thozhil director Vignesh Raja.

Kicking off its grandest cinematic venture to date, the production house began filming D54 with a traditional pooja ceremony on Thursday.

National Award-winning actor Dhanush is set to share the screen with Premalu fame Mamitha Baiju for the first time. Their fresh pairing promises to be a delightful watch. The stellar ensemble cast also includes powerhouses such as KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Karunas, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prithvi Pandiarajan, and others.

D54 promises to deliver an elevated cinematic experience, with a powerhouse crew featuring National Award-winner GV Prakash Kumar on music, Theni Eswar handling cinematography, editing by Sreejith Sarang, production design by Maya Pandi and costumes by Dinesh Manohar and Kaviya Sriram.
