Maddock Films announces 'Thama' - a bloody saga with Ayushmann, Rashmika & Nawazuddin

At 11:11 am, Maddock Films dropped the highly anticipated first look into The World of Thama - a 'bloody' love story that promises to redefine horror and romance on the big screen. From visionary producer Dinesh Vijan and the team that redefined the genre with Stree, Munjya and Bhediya, Thama marks the first-ever love story in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film brings together an extraordinary cast, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal, with Faisal Malik and Geeta Agrawal joining the ensemble.

Taking to their social media account, the makers wrote:

"Na darr kabhi itna shaktishaali tha, aur na pyaar kabhi itna BLOODY! Brace yourself this Diwali to witness the first love story in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe. Step into the World of Thama, a cinematic experience unlike anything you’ve seen before, storming into cinemas worldwide." (sic)

On Monday, the makers unveiled a fresh batch of posters featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rashmika Mandanna. Both the posters and teaser hint at a twisted, "bloody love story" at the film’s core.

Ayushmann Khurrana plays Alok - Insaaniyat ki aakhri umeed.

Stepping into a brand new space with her first ever horror comedy, Rashmika surprised and thrilled with her striking new avatar.

She plays Rashmika Mandanna as Tadaka - Roshni ki ek hi pehli kiran.

Nawaz has once again left fans in awe as the makers unveiled the teaser of his upcoming project and introduced him in a fierce new look as Yakshasan - Andhere ka badshah.

Directed by Munjya fame Aditya Sarpotdar, Thama is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under the banner of Maddock Films. It has been written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara and will be released on Diwali 2025.
