<p> ‘Teree Sang’, Satish Kaushik’s film on teenage pregnancy, is also a comment on how the socio-economic structures of a society try to determine relationships.<br /><br />Maahi (Sheena) is the only child of rich parents (Rajat Kapoor and Neena Gupta) who are too busy to spare any time for their lonely, introvert daughter.<br /><br />Maahi befriends Kukko (Ruslaan), who has doting parents (Kaushik and Sushmita Mukherjee) but, belongs to a lower strata of the society.<br /><br />They go camping on new year eve and, in a drunken sate, end up making love without really caring about the outcome. <br /><br />Maahi gets pregnant and refuses to undergo an abortion. Worried about reputation and honour, their parents fail to understand them.<br /><br />When Maahi and Kabir realise that the only way to save the baby and their love is to elope, they seek the help of their friends and take shelter in a discarded house, on the hills.<br /><br />But, soon they realise that all the fun goes out of the window when the responsibilities of supporting a house and parenthood come calling on your door.<br /><br />For a serious subject, ‘Teree Sang’ fails to evoke any interest. Insipid screenplay, mediocre music, and immature delivery of dialogues make it unworthy of all the talk. A waste of time..</p>
