<p>The Andhra Pradesh Police on Friday arrested two professors from Sri Venkateswara University, on a charge of sexual harassment to its research scholars.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The accused were identified as Professor Rajeswar Rao, head of the Zoology department in the university and another Professor Vijaya Kumari.<br /><br />Confirming the arrests, Damodar, DIG (CID) said both have been taken into custody on complaints of sexual harassment filed by a few research scholars and students.The police said that the students were harassed to succumb to their desires by the professor and the lady professor who abetted him in his act. <br /><br />The students and research scholars were warned of dire consequences if they did not cooperate and yield to them.<br /><br />This is the second time that a professor has been hauled up on such charge in the temple town. Few years ago a lecturer was hauled up on chargs of running a brothel by exploiting her lady students .</p>
