Cyclone Tauktae highlights: Cyclonic storm weakens into a deep depression over Saurashtra
At least 27 people were killed and almost 100 missing on Tuesday after the storm damaged infrastructure and agriculture, while heavy rains continued to lash some regions. Cyclone Tauktae early on Tuesday morning moved northwards clearing the Gujarat coast. The cyclonic storm has now weakened into a deep depression over Saurashtra. The Navy and Coast Guard have rescued 314 people on board two barges that were adrift amid the storm. Tauktae will weaken into a deep depression in few hours, says IMD.
