<p>Shreekumar said the Commission had written to him in August to throw some light on the role of government officials subverting the system in the wake of a public interest litigation filed by noted danseuse Mallika Sarabhai in 2002 regarding Gujarat riots.<br /><br />“It was in pursuance of this notice that I filed an affidavit today,” Shreekumar said.<br />The 10-page affidavit has been classified as secret by Shreekumar and is expected to contain some explosive information about the role of some senior police officials in subverting justice. <br /><br />The affidavit also contains fifty-three pages of annexure.</p>
