2 killed, 5 injured in Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway accident

Maddur (Mandya district): Two people were killed and five others were injured as a speeding car jumped across the median and rammed against another car, coming from the opposite direction near Agaralinganadoddi near Maddur on the Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway on Sunday night.

Maqsood (21) and Ayaan (25) from Bengaluru are the deceased. Another passenger in the car Mujaheed Pasha and Basavaraj, Parvathi, Nagarathna and Nagaraju in the other car, sustained serious injuries.

They were provided first aid at the hospitals in Maddur and Channapatna and later shifted to Bengaluru. The accident occurred around 10 pm. The car was overspeeding and the driver lost control, which jumped across the median and rammed against another car. It also hit two other cars, according to police.
