<p>Five government counsels Veerappa B, Pawan Kumar Bhajantri, Narendra Guha, Sujatha S and Dinesh Kumar P S were sworn in additional High Court judges on Friday.</p>.<p>Chief Justice D H Waghela administered the oath in presence of several High Court judges, senior counsels and H C Shivaram, President, Advocates Association, Bangalore. Padma Prasad Hegde, Chairman, Karnataka State Bar Council welcomed the new judges.<br /><br />The High Court has been witnessing a spree of retirement of judges since mid-2013. <br /><br />Accordingly, Justices V Jagannathan, Ajit Gunjal, H N Nagamohan Das, H S Kempanna, B S Indrakala, K N Keshavnarayana, Jawad Rahim and most recently Justice K Bhakthavatsala retired from service. Justice Dilip Bhosale was transferred from the High Court of Karnataka and there was no replacement to them. <br /><br />To add to the woes of the advocates and the litigants, one of the judges, Justice Govindaraju died in a road accident. The appointment was pending since then.</p>
