After uproar, fodder supplied to stray cattle

In the backdrop of the visit of President Ram Nath Kovind, all the stray cattle were tied at a vegetable market at Mahadevapete.

However, the CMC officials had neglected the cattle by failing to supply fodder and water. Some people had clicked the photographs of the tied cattle and uploaded it on social media.

After receiving flak from the social media users, the officials made arrangements to supply paddy straw, vegetables and water.

The CMC officials said that the CMC has been receiving complaints on stray cattle posing a hindrance to the movement of vehicles.

The cattle owners should take the cattle back to their houses. If there are no owners for the cattle roaming in the town, then they will be sent to a gaushala in Bhagamandala, they said.
