Udupi-Chikmagaluru independent candidate P Amrith Shenoy said that he will file a case in the court by making the Central and state governments as respondents in the issue of the seven missing fishermen.

He said that it is nearly four months since the fishermen went missing. There is no trace of fishermen. Both the governments are silent on the issue. I will file a case in the court after the election.

He said that two tableux teams have been campaigning for him in the constituency. One team is led by psychologist Jayasri Bhat and another by poet Shahid Ali.

“I am confident that voters will support me,” he added.

He said Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts are known for tourist spots.

If tourism is promoted, then the revenue of the district can be doubled. Chikkamagaluru district needs an onion godown, he added.
