DKS solely responsible for stampede: H D Kumaraswamy

New Delhi, DHNS: Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday said Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar was solely responsible for stampede at Bengaluru and demanded his removal from the state cabinet.

"Who went to airport to receive cricketers? Why did the DCM call his supporters for the event? Who is responsible for death of innocent cricket fans?" Kumaraswamy asked.

"A butcher government is ruling Karnataka. The CM is most inactive. The home minister is a dummy candidate," he added.

"Why the felicitation programme at Vidhana Soudha continued despite the news coming from Chinnaswamy Stadium that four persons had died due to stampede?" he asked.

The DCM tried self glorification in the name of felicitation to the cricketers. This was the main reason for total mess in the programme leading to death of innocent people, Kumaraswamy added.

The union minister urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to immediately remove Shivakumar from Cabinet for betrayal of public trust.
