<p>Bengaluru: An excise inspector, who claimed to have earned some money through fortune telling in his free time, has been convicted for amassing illegal wealth. </p>.<p>A Lokayukta court recently sentenced K Krishnamoorthy to three years' imprisonment and fined him Rs 30 lakh. </p>.<p>In 2013, Krishnamoorthy was raided by the Lokayukta police, who found that he had total assets of Rs 72.54 lakh. However, he accepted anything the clients gave him. Later, he told the court that through fortune telling, he had earned Rs 5 lakh. </p>.<p>The court was irked by the contradictory statements and rejected his explanations, sentencing him to jail time. </p>
