Grammy-winning Ricky Kej alleges Zomato delivery agent trespassed into his home, stole sump cover

Bengaluru: Grammy-winning music director Ricky Kej was allegedly robbed at his residence in Bengaluru on Thursday evening, with CCTV footage suggesting the involvement of a food delivery executive.

According to Kej, the incident occurred around 6 pm, when a man suspected to be a Zomato delivery partner allegedly trespassed his home premises and stole a sump cover. Kej stated that the suspect had visited the premises about 15 minutes earlier, possibly to survey the location, before returning to commit the theft.

Kej took to X to narrated his ordeal and sought police help.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV camera from two angles, and screenshots of the suspect’s face and the vehicle used have been secured. The accused was seen riding a red Honda Activa with a registration number , as per the footage.

Kej has sought assistance from Zomato and Bengaluru City Police to help identify the suspect and take necessary action. Sharing details of the incident on social media, he urged residents to remain vigilant, warning that similar crimes could happen to anyone.

However, no police complaint has been registered about the incident so far. 

Meanwhile, Zomoto replied to his complaint, assuring that they would take action against the delivery executive once the investigation is done from the Zomoto side.
